Yes. most suppliers for Pickup from corporate locations ( city and airports) will accept credit cards from another person other than the nominated driver as long as he/she is present during the collection of the vehicle and can show photo Id so they can authorise payment to the supplier.

Please note, not all types of credit cards are accepted (e.g. some suppliers do not accept China Union Pay Credit card)
