The policy for accepting debit cards varies per supplier in New Zealand, but generally debit cards are only accepted if they have the Mastercard of Visa emblem. If you are hiring from the luxury or specialty fleet you may have to leave a higher security bond if paying with a debit card. Prepaid debit cards are not accepted.
