Yes. You will be required to present your credit card at the rental counter when you collect your hire car. The credit card holder will need to be present to sign the rental agreement.
In most circumstances, a debit card may be accepted with the Visa or Mastercard emblem embossed in the Drivers’ name. This excludes any luxury fleet bookings.
Debit Cards with Visa or Mastercard emblem:
Avis accepts many major credit cards such as American Express, Avis, Diner's Club International, JCB/JAL, Mastercard, Visa. A hold will be placed on your credit card as a security deposit.
Payment must be made by credit card when you collect the vehicle. The credit card holder needs to be present at the time of pick-up. A hold will be placed on your card to cover the security bond.
A valid credit card or Visa or MasterCard debit card must be provided for all rentals. The credit card holder must be present at the time of pick-up. A credit card surcharge may apply. Note that Union Pay Cards are accepted only if they have the Visa or MasterCard logo.
Europcar accepts major credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners Card. The card must be in the name of the renter, and their signature must appear on the back of the car. If hiring a Prestige vehicle, the renter will require two valid credit cards, both in the name of the main driver.
Hertz accepts American Express, Mastercard, Diners Club, Visa, and JCB credit cards. You will need to have enough credit available to cover the cost of the security deposit.
Thrifty accept Visa, Mastercard, Diners Card and American Express. The card must be in the name of the renter, and a surcharge may apply.
